Volunteers Needed for 2005 Masters Games

We are expecting over 100 teams to compete in the 10th Australian Basketball Masters Games from the 9th to 15th October, at the Wayville Sports Centre and the Pasadena Stadium.

As with any major sporting event, its success is heavily dependant on volunteer support. All volunteers will be registered with the Australian Masters games and will receive three types of training prior to the games: Orientation Training, Job Specific Training and Venue Training.

The role of a volunteer will be both challenging and rewarding and a great way to gain practical experience in the running of a major national sporting event.

Required Areas of Assistance:

- Scoretable
- Officiating
- General Administration
- Publicity
- Sports Massage
- Computer information
- Statistics
- Public Relations
- Newsletters
- Strapping / Taping
- Event Set-up

We would especially like to have a group of volunteers to assist teams with scoring to ensure their games experience is more enjoyable. If you are a student, teacher or club official interested in involving your students or junior players, or just a keen basketball supporter looking to lend a hand with the 2005 Masters Basketball Tournament, please contact the Events Manager, Melissa Lange on 0438 872 201 or mlange@adelaide36ers.com
So sign up and be a part of this fantastic opportunity!

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
