17.      Fair-Play
ThePAK'nSAVE Kilbirnie Netball Comp is organised with an emphasis on providing an opportunity for young players to enjoy netball outside the winter competition.

Netball Wellington Centre is a keen advocate of fair play and enjoyment through participation and appreciates participants adopting fair play practices in their games.

Examples such as three cheers for the other team after the game, complimenting your partner on a well-played game, shaking hands nicely with your opposition and thanking your coach/manager/umpire after the game are great practices to get into the habit of for future sport involvement.

Teams who show bad sportsmanship at their game ruin the fun for others and run the risk of being excluded from future competition.

Netball Wellington Centre applies the below principles to all its competitions:

Fair play in netball means:

  • always playing fair and within the rules;
  • always show respect to your opponents and officials;
  • always giving it your best but keep your cool;
  • Always respect and support your team-mates, coaches and managers.

18.      Specific Game Time Requests
It is expected that all teams will be able to play in any of the 3 times used for the competition.

In general the draw for an entire Round of games will be released at the beginning of that Round.

Any team requiring a specific game time for a particular day will need to advise this prior to the draw being released to avoid extra costs

Any specific game time for a particular day will be charged a $20 fee if the draw for that day has already been released.

Netball Wellington Centre will attempt to accommodate specific time preferences, however should these conflict with your opposition’s requests or court availability there will be the need for compromise.

19.      Sign-in & Payment
Each team is required to sign-in at least 10 minutes before the start of their game so we are aware that you are present at the courts and ready to play.

Please send a representative to the Sports Control Registration Desk located in the main foyer area beside the courts.

Please remember that an $8 cash amount is due each week to pay the umpires. Correct change for this is appreciated. As the payment goes directly to the umpires and limited change is held.

20.      Player of the Day Awards
Each week, teams are asked to nominate one player from their opposition to receive a Magic Moment Award.

Upon sign-in at the Sports Control Registration Desk on game day, each Team Coordinator will receive a Magic Moment nomination form.

Please make sure your team nominates a member of the opposition by noting at least their position (and quarter played if they rotate) on the form.

Our Netball Wellington Centre Supervisor/s or your Umpire can assist with identifying the player’s name.  Please remember to return your nominations to the Sports Control Registration Desk or Supervisor/s at the end of the game.

21.      Daily Prize giving

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
