The voting in the 2014 Norm Goss medal for the best on ground in the Peter Jackson VFL Legendairy Grand Final was a unanimous decision from the four media judges.
All four judges – Brent Diamond (The Age), Luke D’Anello (Leader), David Rhys Jones (ABC TV) and Nigel Carmody (VFL Radio) – could not go past Footscray’s Brett Goodes as the best player in the Grand Final, giving him the award with the full 12 votes.
Outright second in the voting was 2013 J.J. Liston Trophy winner Mitch Hallahan for Box Hill Hawks after his 30 disposal game, followed by Liam Jones given 3 votes for his five goal haul, and two players with one vote, Lin Jong for 31 disposals and Mark Austin for his work in the backline for the Bulldogs.
See the full votes below, and Wednesday we will feature an article on Goodes from his post match interview.
