BIG V GAME DAY : ROUND 11
This is the second last time where we’ve been lucky enough to have our Big V fixtures converge into one weekend of home games for all of our Big V teams. It’s a perfect chance to get a glimpse of our State Championship Men and Women in action, as well as have a sneak peak at the future of the club when our Victorian Youth Championship Men and Women hit the floor also.
And all of our teams have mountains to climb !
Our VYC Women and our State Championship Women will both be set a task by taking on top 2 teams within their divisions, the 10-4 Nunawading Spectres and 9-1 Knox Raiders respectively. It will be a good measure of where our Women’s teams are at and what areas we require growth in, moving forward, regardless of the result. Challenges bring out the best in us !
On Sunday, our State Championship Men look to bounce back from their agonizing loss, but face a big test of their own – the top of the table Knox Raiders who own an 11-1 record. Our Men have seen continued productive play from Ryen Vilmont and an emergence from Matty Reynolds and Greg Page in recent weeks and will be looking to ride those players to a W this weekend. Our VYC Men will face the challenge of taking on table toppers, the Dandenong Rangers. The VYC Men split their weekend’s games just past and will need all hands on deck to out play and out execute the Rangers in their clash on Sunday.
All 4 DV teams. All taking on top 2 teams. We need your voice, your cheers and your noise to help us get over the line in all 4 games.
The heat is on this weekend ! With our backs against the wall, we will come out fighting !
