Riddell has had a change in on-field personnel in the off-season as it shapes towards building a bright future through its talent.
The Bombers said good bye to Ben Said, Cameron Casson, Jason and Brayden Allen, Brian Ruffell, Jack Baker, Daniel Jurzyluc and James Nolan in the offseason. Nolan has snuck back to play one game, against Wallan last weekend.
Riddell welcomed Ollie Messaoudi, Brad Collins, Liam Reid, Brayden Wootton, Bronson Martin, Jacob Murphy and Brandon Davies in the off-season.
The club is led by Jamie Elliott who is in his second season at the club. He coached the team to the Grand Final in 2016 after finishing the home and away season in fourth position before taking down Rupertswood, Macedon and Broadford in three big finals matches.
Elliott has the coaching talent to get the best out of his players and is no stranger in taking his team to that last game of the season.
The club expects to be competitive, and it is in an excellent opportunity to present the entire squad with a chance to play in new roles and develop their skills.
As part of this opportunity, no fewer than six junior players have made their debut in the opening two weeks; with Brandon Wilson, a past Under 18.5s captain, leading the way in the backline in the opening two rounds.
Matt Panuccio is one young gun to watch out for. He is hitting the right age and has experience to be influential, if he can avoid injury.
Haydn Ross is naturally one of the stars to look out for. He does everything expected of a player and is a role model to the younger players.
Riddell expect Rupertswood to be one of the teams to watch out for this year with its great recruiting and young talent.

The Bombers lost a lot of depth and star power from the team that won the 2016 premiership.
The club welcomed Eliza Allen as A Grade coach in the off-season after coaching the team to the 2014 Grand Final.
The two-time defending premiers have started the season well with one win from two matches and will fancy themselves against Romsey this weekend.
The squad welcomes Meikah Johns, Brianna De Haas, Chloe Meulenmeesters, Kira Baldwin; and Tanish and Emma Barzinski. These girls represent the future of the club and will gain valuable experience alongside the likes of Christine Harris and Sarah King.
Cayley Armstrong has crossed to Romsey in the pre-season while Lauren Close is playing with in the Australian Netball League with Northern Territory.
The team has a good blend of youth and experience that will gel better with each game. It is a fantastic opportunity for some of the young stars to make their mark with some enjoying roles in the Senior team in recent seasons.
De Haas is a league best and fairest winner with the Under 19s and is just one young gun that will take the competition by storm.
