Youth League Round 4 Preview
Our Youth League Men and Women are at home this weekend for a Saturday night double header!
Victoria Youth Championship Women
Coming into round 4 the VYCW are sitting at 4-1, suffering their first loss of the season last weekend. The Eagles were able to bounce back Sunday and pick up a solid win against Bendigo, and this week face the other Country Victoria team in the league, the Ballarat Rush. The Rush are coming off a win against the Dandenong Rangers, and surely will be full of confidence Saturday night. The Eagles will look for big games out of Nicola Stewart and Mikayla Peterson, who have had strong starts to the 2018 season.
Victorian Youth Championship Men
The VYCM will follow our Women with a match up against Eltham Wildcats. Arguably the biggest rivalry in the Big V, the Eagles will be excited for what is always a physical match-up. Eltham are coming to Diamond Valley in red hot form, with 3 wins and 1 loss. The Eagles have suffered a slow start to the season, unable to find consistency in their first 4 games. However, this young team has been making strides and will look to continue the streak against Eltham having beaten them the last 2 seasons. Dylan Dunstan doesn’t often have 2 quiet weeks in a row and will be chomping at the bit for this one to get underway!
Make sure you come down to support your Youth League Eagles, entry is just $6 for Adults and $3 for Children.
