Importance Notice regarding DB Cup

Hi everyone

I know this will induce melt-downs with some but cant be helped. Due to the rain and Bilambil Council fields being closed it has been decided to cancel DB Cup this weekend (Mini & Mod).

DB Cup games will now be played next weekend (Saturday 1st August) same locations and same draw. The finals for the cup will still be played at Tugun on Sunday (2nd August).

Round 14 will be played on Saturday 29th August (the 2nd spare weekend).

Decisions needed to be made now so that hosting clubs could cancel any food orders etc by tomorrow. It is not ideal but is the best solution we could come up with so as to not lose the DB Cup competition for this year.

The Round 4 U14 & U15 games will still go ahead as scheduled.

-          Bilambil games are their club grounds (3.30 & 4.30pm) so they will let me know tomorrow afternoon if their field is holding up.

-          Colts games are still at Stan Sercombe Oval and I will let you know if this should change. (12.30 & 1.30pm)

-          Cudgen games are okay to proceed but as these games were a follow on from DB Cup games that are no longer proceeding they have asked that the games be bought forward. New game times:

  •          U14 Mullum vs Seagulls @ 12pm
  •          U14 Cudgen/Raiders vs ST Bears @ 1pm
  •          U15 ST Bears vs Byron-Lennox @ 2pm

Please spread the word…… especially to the U14 & 15 teams shown above.
