Many thanks to the players and their families who attended the trials for this years team. I was impressed by the attitude, skills and commitment of the girls to come along and 'have a go'. It was a difficult decision to make in choosing the team, but with the support and expertise of Tamra Thompson and Alice Collard as independent selectors, it made my job so much easier.more

2014 sees a major change to the way basketball is funded in New Zealand. From 1 January 2014, WBA is required to pay BBNZ a levy of 10% of all league competition entry fees. This covers both seniors and juniors but does not apply to representative teams.more
