RICHMOND TIGERS TO TRAIN IN TOWNSVILLE

Townsville is fast developing itself into a highly desirable destination for AFL Clubs as they search for alternate training options.

The success of the NAB Challenge matches has elevated Townsville’s profile with regards to climate and facilities.

AFL team Richmond have confirmed that it will hold its Summer Training Camp in Townsville in early December.more

The Northern Beaches Barra's are inviting all Players, Parents & Supporters to their Annual General Meeting on Sunday 23rd November commencing at 9.30am sharp at St. Anthony's Catholic College in Jensen.

TOWNSVILLE/SUNS DEVELOPMENT COACHES ANNOUNCED

AFL Townsville has run quality development programs for many years and this year sees another step forward with the establishment of a formal link with the SUNS Talent Academy. The Townsville/SUNS development program will cater for youth players who have aspirations of playing representative football or simply want to improving their football ability and fitness.more

TIGERS GET THEIR MAN

The Hermit Park Football Club have announced 2012 Premiership captain, Lyle Clifford as its new playing coach. Having led the team on field as captain this year, Clifford will take charge for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.more

AFL TOWNSVILLE JUNIOR SUMMER PROGRAM

AFL Townsville run a Summer Program for 6 weeks prior to Xmas starting on November 10th for U12- U16. Both boys and girls are welcome to participate. We are however not restricted to these age groups as we believe in participation.

This program is a fore runner for the Townsville Development Teams that contest the NQ Championships in 2015 for U14 and U16 and the U13 and U15 NQ Schools program.more
