A young man's determination

Benjamin Schulte from Guam competed in the men’s 10km marathon swim today at Serpentine Lake, London.
The 16 year old competed to the best of his ability, completing the race in 2:03:35.1 securing him 25th position.
Although falling behind the rest of the field towards the end of the race, Schulte quickly became a crowd favorite.more

Ricardo Blas Jr from Guam competed in the Men’s +100kg Judo Elimination Round of 32. He secured a place in the Elimination Round of 16 but lost against Cuba’s Oscar Brayson.more

Duenas 100m Freestyle

Guam’s Christopher Duenas competed in the 100m Freestyle on Tuesday 31 July, 2012. Duenas ranked seventh in Heat 3 with a time of 53:37.more

Day 3 – Swimming – Women’s 100m Breaststroke – Pilar Shimizu – GUAM

Pilar Shimizu represented Guam in the Women’s 100m Breaststroke on the third day of competition at the Aquatic’s Centre in London. She placed 2nd in her heat and 42nd overall, with a swim time of 1 minute 15.76 seconds. Even though she will not proceed to the semifinals, her swim was fantastic and her family and friends back in Guam should be very proud of her result.more

Pilar Shimizu from Guam competed in the Women’s 100m Breaststroke on Sunday 29th July, 2012. She ranked second in Heat 1 with a time of 1:15.76, ranking 42nd overall.more
