Nerang Lions Win 3rd Annual Challenge

Yesterday, with only two Lions players, Nerang Lions Club won the annual Lions Challenge at Carrara Stadium, taking The Wheel trophy back from Runaway Bay Lions. Councillor Bob LaCastra and Josh Brass presented the Perpetual Trophy to Kay Farmer and Darren Miller from Nerang Lions. Katie Coleman (better known at "Skatie" within the Qld basketball family) recently donated her Infinite basketball wheelchair to our programme and with a few very minor renovations the chair is now ready for anyone wanting to have a go at basketball. Trophy Presentation - 14 June 2014 Emerald Lakes Golf Club

The Summer Season 2014 drew to a close yesterday with a trophy presentation lunch at Emerald Lakes Golf Club. Three members of the Nerang Highland Park Lions Club - Kay, Rochelle and Stacey - joined us for lunch and to present trophies and the prestigious Lions Medal for service which this season was awarded to Gemma Buchholz for her commitment to the programme. 2014 Classics - Rollerblaze 3rd in B Grade

Ben Noonan, Blair Thompson, Brent Geritz, Fa'Amoana Topue (Solomons), John Morgan, Louis Billet, Matthew Thompson, Rob Bailey and Scott Boland fought hard all weekend at the Classics to finish 3rd in B Grade. Managed by Lauren Canning the team had one draw and four wins in the rounds, losing only to Toowoomba in the Sunday games. The semi-final game against Coffs Harbour on Monday was a great gamemore

Summer 2014 Season Grand Finals

Last night the Lions won the McNeil Cup defeating Eagles 33-12. This was the end of our first season with Gold Coast Celtics. Lions kept Eagles scoreless in the first half (20-0) winning 33-12. In the play off for 3rd and 4th Streaks defeated Wicked. Celtics have extended a warm welcome to Rollerblaze and we are looking forward to consolidating our competition with the next season startingmore

Every game night for the rest of this season one player from each game will receive an "Awesome Effort" gift certificate thanks to Grill'd at the Robina Town Centre.
