6th Straight Gold for PNG

PNG has continued their dominance of Pacific Games cricket to claim their 6th straight gold medal with a comprehensive victory over Fiji who take home the silver. In the other match Vanuatu took out the bronze medal with a 10 wicket win over New Caledonia.

PNG Storm into Gold Medal Match

PNG were comprehensive winners over Fiji today in the final round of the Pacific Games Cricket Competition in what was a preview to Friday’s gold medal match. In the other game Vanuatu notched their first win of the tournament with a 158 run win over New Caledonia.

PNG has defeated a spirited Vanuatu and Fiji has thrashed New Caledonia on the first day of the cricket competition at the Pacific Games in New Caledonia.

Let the Games Begin

New Caledonia was treated to a spectacular opening ceremony to the Pacific Games last night with the highlight for East-Asia Pacific Cricket being Vanuatu captain Andrew Mansale carrying his nation’s flag into the main stadium.

It was a huge moment for Mansale as he led a 277 strong Vanuatu contingent into the arena in front of a vocal capacity crowd.
