Our representatives in the Northern Eagles 14/16/18's participated in a very tough tournament of touch on the weekend, but all appeared to enjoy themselves and I'm sure learn't a lot. The best performing Eagles teams were the girls 14's with Lucy Spain who lost the semi final and the boy's 16's with Beau Langford who made the grand final, going down to Hunter Western Hornets. The National Touch League will be played at Coffs International Stadium Wed 9th to Sat 12th March 2016. Northern Eagles have 7 sides competing in the tournament so come along and cheer them on. Saturday is finals day in the stadium where the top tier of touch in Australia the Womens and Mens Elite 8 Semi Finals and Grand Finals are on from 1050am. Northern Eagles selection panel have selected 14 players for each 14,16,18's boys and girls teams to compete at the NSW Junior Regional Titles in April. These selections were made after watching players at Taree and Ballina Gala Days and at JSC. In addition up to another 7 players were chosen for each team as shadow players to fill positions where any original 14 players drop out.more

A reminder that the Yr 3 and under division will finish this week. (no final series). There will be a small presentation at the conclusion of their last game.

Congratulations to Damian Cross (Damo) who was awarded his Level 4 Referee Badge at the recent State Cup. Damian has worked hard to achieve this level which included attending many tournaments across NSW and Queensland where he has been assessed by the NSW State Referees panel. We are hoping Damo will continue on over the next couple of years and progress to the top Level 6.more
MIXED OPEN - Went all the way to the Shield final only to go down in a drop off in extra time. This team was a credit to our association and an inspiration.
MENS 40's - Found it tough going but every player put in 100 % effort and all had an enjoyable time.
COMBINED BALLINA/MACKSVILLE 20'S WOMENS - Had a fantastic tournament going out in the semi final of the bowl division.more
Northern Eagles will use Gala days, Taree 24.1.16, Ballina 7.2.16, JSC Port Macquarie 19-21.2.16, NTL Coffs Harbour 9-12.3.16 to identify players and select 14/16/18 boys and girls regional teams to compete at NSW Junior Regionals in Parkes on 15-17.4.16. The Eagles Junior regional sides will have training/gear fitting on Sunday 6.3.16 at Advocate Park Coffs Harbour.more

TOUCH FOOTBALL IS ON UNLESS IT STATES ON THIS WEBSITE THAT IS CANCELLED. Just because it is raining doesnt mean it is off. If the fields are not under water and are playable touch will be on. If there is lighting near by at the time of kickoff or during games we may call it off.more
There has been a marked increase in the number of players arguing with referees this season. Rule 18 states that players are not to talk to the referee. The Captain may respectfully and politely enquire briefly with the referee on decisions. Players arguing with referees and Captains who are not respectful and polite can be sent from the field.more
As per our rules and Touch Football Australia Playing Rules 7th edition any player that is sent from the field for the remainder of the game (not sin bin) by the referee will serve an automatic minimum 2 games suspension. The Committee may increase this suspension period for more serious misconduct as it sees fit. The appeals process costs $200. See our document links for appeals process.more
Please be aware that NSW Health - Tobacco Compliance Officers will now be issuing fines to people found smoking at sporting events.
Smoking has been banned at sport venues in spectator areas since 7 January 2013 under the Smoke-free Environment Act 2000.
The fine for smoking at a sporting event is $550 to the individual smoker.
