The FIBA Foundation Youth Leadership Program is a global Basketball for Good initiative that provides youths a great opportunity to upskill and undertake various trainings and provides a platform for a better future for themselves and their various communities. Basketball Fiji's Estelle Kainamoli and Jordan Dokonivalu savouring the experience as participants for the 2023 cohort.

The late coach Michael Whippy has been acknowledged at the XXII FIBA Congress 2023 for his immense contribution to the sport of Basketball nationally, regionally and globally.

SUVA (Fiji) – Basketball in Fiji continues to gain popularity amongst the general public, corporate organizations and now other national sporting teams, who have adopted the sport either to learn a new skill, as a team bonding activity or to simply have fun.

Recently, eight of the Basketball Fiji coaches where fortunate to participate in the Marty Handson Scholarship Program which was conducted online for six weeks.
