Judy Hutchins Memorial Perpetual Award

Judy Hutchins was a long term advocate of the Shepparton Basketball association.  Judy worked as a committee member for many years.  Judy passed away in 1989 however she is still remembered in the association through a long term player, coach, committee member and Current President Brett Hutchins and his daughter Shelby.  The award is for outstanding achievement and is awarded to a player who realises achievements throughout their playing career as a Shepparton Basketball member.  These achievements are listed below and may be one or any number of these in a combination to be selected for the award which is decided each year by the Committee of management and awarded to that person on or after the local competition grand final day.

• Has completed service as a local and junior player through a number of age groups from under 12 to under 18 age group. (Recently finished junior Representation Target Under 20 person who reaches the highest pinnacle each year.)
• Played for Shepparton Gators as a representative player for more than one season.
• Achieved selection in Under 14 Skills or Academy.
• Achieved Selection in a State team including emergency selection.
• Achieved selection as a NITP or NPP program participant.
• Achieved selection in any Australian representative squad or team.
• Achieves selection to the Australian Centre of Excellence.
• Achieves selection in a Shepparton Gators Senior based program.
• May be Male or female.
  
  

The Rising Star Award

This award is a perpetual trophy provided to the most promising male and female junior under 14 player for the previous year.   These achievements are listed below and may be one or any number of these in a combination to be selected for the award which is decided each year by the Committee of management and awarded to that person on the local competition grand final day.

• Played for Shepparton Gators as a representative player.
• Plays in local competition as a committed continuing player. (Plays Each Season)
• Achieved selection in Under 14 Skills or Academy.
• Achieved Selection in Under 12 Skills or Jamboree attendance.

 

Club Champion Award

The Club Championship is decided between the local clubs and is awarded each on a points based system decided by wins and losses of teams from the local club based competition.   This award is awarded to the club on the local competition grand final day.
