The EDJBA is governed by a Committee of Management (CoM), previously referred to as the Executive Committee, which is elected once a year at the AGM. 

The CoM is made up of 11 members (4 office bearers and 7 general committee members). 

Although not enshrined in the constitution, CoM members are expected to chair a sub-committee dealing with various association activities including governance, development, club liaison, communication and competition.  These sub-committees will make recommendations to the CoM for implementation. 

On a larger scale the EDJBA is linked to Basketball Victoria and the Parent Body, Basketball Australia.
