We as an association are working hard to make sure our season can go ahead, but to do so, you will see that somethings will be different. For us to continue playing basketball a COVID19 plan has been created and the rules must be obeyed. The rules include:
• Seniors: One Spectator per player is permitted at a game.
• Juniors: One Spectator per player, but we understand that one parent may have 2 or 3 children playing at different times or may have non-playing siblings that cannot stay at home. If this is the case, all children not playing must be seated with their responsible adult at all times. They are not permitted to freely walk around the venue.• There are separate entry and exit doors into the for Court 1 and Courts 2, 3 & 4. Please follow this diagram:• Players are permitted to arrive no more than 10 minutes before their scheduled start time.
• Players are not permitted go to the benches until the previous team have vacated and all areas have been sanitised. Please be patient.
• Once the game has finished all players and spectators must exit straight away. Team meetings are not permitted on the courts. You must move away and meet outside the building if required.
• Unless you are the player or the spectator for a game you are not permitted on the basketball courts. Example: if you or your children have games with a break in between, you must leave the basketball courts and not return until your game is scheduled.
• COVID Marshals will be walking around enforcing these rules.
Please understand that we may have government officials visit randomly throughout the night to perform checks and making sure rules are being adhered. We must ensure all COVID-19 rules are being practised at all times. If you are unsure or have questions, please contact your club representatives.
