The Toowoomba Mountaineers field Men's and Women's teams into the The Southern Basketball League (SBL).

The SBL is a Basketball Queensland run competition which serves as a pathway for Mountaineer Squad members to participate in an elite competition before moving into the Queensland Basketball League.

This competition starts each year in May and runs through to the August. With home games being played out of the USQ Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre.

Toowoomba plays against teams from all over South East Queensland, Including:

• West Logan
• Warwick
• Northside
• South West Metro
• SASE
• Redlands
• Sunshine Coast
• Noosa
• Southern Districts
• Caboolture
