COACHES RESPONSIBILITIES
As Coaches it is your responsibility, to not only take care of your team, but to make sure the playing environment is safe for all players, this includes both equipment and facilities. You need to encourage players in all teams to develop their football skills in a positive manner. You must teach players to uphold and follow the rules of football, however never shout, or ridicule a player for breaking these rules, no matter the team. If a rule has been broken, the umpires with your assistance will handle it in a positive, professional manner during the game, and as such please make sure to control both your players' and parents behaviors during such an event. Making sure all parties are acting in a courteous manner throughout the entirety of the game.
Make sure to put into effect a fair and reasonable system, to make sure all players have an equal go. Do not overplay the more competent or skilled players. Where possible group players with opponents of similar skill levels together, as to give them an equal chance of success, and fun. At the end of the match it is customary that all players will line-up for a Handshake, please make sure no players split in their hands, swear at, or ridicule any others involved, making sure to report any incidents as soon as possible.
Please make sure you as respecting the decision of the opposition coaches, umpires, and most importantly medical staff. Make sure you follow any advice given by the medical officer.
Always remember that the players are there to have fun, and learn, never negatively reinforce them, only positively encourage them to further their skills.

UMPIRE FEEDBACK FORM:
Coaches please find attached the Umpire Feedback form in the link below, filling it out by 6.00pm on Sunday evening after the match. Please make sure you fill out this form in a positive manner, as all our umpires are learning. Coaches and Parents need to be patient with them, and act in a professional courteous manner, to encourage their development.
