Ballina under 18 men went on to finish their attack on NJL by not only winning the minor premierchip undefeated but winning the grand final 81 to 69 against 2nd placed Coffs Harbour in Grafton today (sunday 25th July)
When CJ Bruton came to town he arranged an under 18 clinic on Friday Nite and followed it with an Under 12 clinic on the Saturday. Those lucky enough to participate not only met the Australian Representative but also benefited from the experience
Weekend 17/18 April Coffs Harbour under 16 and 18 attack with dignity. The 16's had 3 losses that, with a little more fitness and basic drill could easily be turned around and coach kevin earl, is the right man for the job. Meanwhile the 18's under Eva Ramsey continued their winning streak with 3 more consecutive victory's.
Ballina nominated a Girls team for the odd age carnival at Grafton on the weekend of 29/30. We demonstrated to all the high standard we are attaining with consistant great plays, hard work and rewards of victorys and medals. This is the first girls team nominated for Junior State League in a long time, and for a very small association Ballina is fast becoming a force to be reconned with.
Mark Watkins from NSW Basketball will be running a clinic in Lismore on the 23rd June 2009 for talented under 16 and 18 men and women currently.
