NOT DOING COURT DUTY - will result in a Two(2) point reduction on your competition ladder.

FORFIET after the first quarter if either team has not arrived to play.

NSW REGISTRATION – Annual cost is $85:00 paid through www.ballinabasketball.com.au (follow the Registration prompts), this must be paid to be eligible to play, this payment last 12 months from day of payment.  If you are registered in another association an affiliation fee of $35:00 is payable to Ballina Association.

PLAYER ELIGABILITY – If you have a (U) against your name on the score sheet, it means you are NOT currently NSW registered (not insured). Speak to a court supervisor.

COMPETITIVE COMPETIONS – All teams will be structured for equality.  This will give all teams the ability to excel in the competition and give each athlete a better level of enjoyment.

PLAYER MOVEMENT – In the first few weeks and as new players arrive some player, may be required to be moved to assist with equalisation of teams.

COURT DUTY – All teams will be required to provide court duty as rostered. 2 competition points will be deducted for your ladder position if not complied with. 

REFEREE – All teams are required to provide a referee when you are rostered to court duty. 2 competition points will be deducted for your ladder position if not complied with. 

NOT IN A TEAM – No problem, turn up at the courts at 5:15and we will place into a team.

UNIFORMS – Tops are supplied – Black shorts with NO pockets are the standard for all players.  Pockets are dangerous and can cause injuries.

COACHES – We ask that you seek a coach for your team a parent or someone that is able to assist on a weekly basis.

MANAGERS - Each team will require a Manager, and that parent or person will be responsible for that teams set of uniforms each week (washing etc).

SPORTSMANSHIP – We value this in our association and will NOT tolerate bad language, temper outbursts or exclusion of players on or off the court.

PARENTS – Are welcomed to be part of their children’s game by coming along to encouraging support and inspiring them to become better athletes and fully enjoy the game of BASKETBALL.

CONFRONTATION – Please if you have any problem at all regarding the association or the competition, that needs to be discussed, please speak to the court supervisor and we will take it to the committee.  Please do not leave and complain to others, because of something you are not happy about.  We encourage you to respectful of our association and encourage other to do the same.

VOLUNTEERS – Anyone or parent wishing to volunteer or help in any way, we welcome you, extra hands make the workload lighter for everyone.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT NO MATTER WHAT LEVEL YOU ARE, Ballina Association values you as a player and individual. We welcome all new players into our association.

FRIENDS – If you know someone that is interest please bring them along, Pass the word. Basketball is here for everyone both Male and Female athletes.

ENCOURAGEMENT - Ballina Basketball encourages all players to participate in the referee’s programme and their club training (Usually Thursday afternoon) and all are eligible to try out for Representative Teams for 2019.

GAMES TIMES – Will be 4 x 10 minute quarters
