The team finished runner up in Division 3 of the VCFL V/Line Under 15 Championships
held in Melbourne during the June school holidays
(moved from first term holidays because of the Commonwealth Games).
The team won two of their three games, defeating ACT by 56 points in game one,
then going down to the eventual winner Western Country by 46 points in game two,
redeeming themselves with a 12 point victory over Dandenong in game three.
A pleasing aspect was the efforts of some of the younger members of the group,
particularly Bradley Eagle, and Daniel Adolph from Irymple; Darcy Gordon from Red Cliffs
and Wentworth’s Anthony Taylor. These four boys are eligible for next year's team.
Others to play well were Thomas Pain and Jordan Payne from Irymple,
Imperials Sam Gallagher and Shea Bateman and Jarrod Buckley from Wentworth.
