NNZ COACH DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY:
Unsure of what modules to attend? Whether you are a beginner coach or have been coaching for years, the Coach Accreditation Pathway will let you know where on the pathway you are and where you could aim for.  Please access the following link: NNZ Coach Development Framework

If you wish to progress along the Coach Accreditation Pathway, please access the attached updated visual of the pathway which clearly outlines each step along the path and what needs to be achieved.  Steps are also outlined below.

BEGINNER TIER: No accreditation attached
Includes the following three workshops:
Taking Off Into Netball Coaching (free online module)
Starting Out In Coaching
My Team & Me
Workshop for Coaches of Year 3&4 (due to be released in 2015)
Workshop for Coaches of Year 5&6 (due to be released in 2014)

Receive a certificate of attendance and record of attendance.

FIRST AWARD: NETBALL NEW ZEALAND COMMUNITY COACH AWARD
The Community Coach Award is the first level of achievement on the Netball New Zealand Coach Accreditation Pathway and requires the completion of five compulsory modules – Player Centred Coaching, Communicating & Managing Others, Planning, Skill Analysis and Team Building. All five modules are offered as a series usually in both the off-season (October-December) and pre-season (February-April) providing a handy opportunity for keen school/club coaches to gain recognised accreditation for your development efforts in a short period of time. Please find the registration form for the Community Coach Award attached below for your easy access to be completed and returned to ndo@netballwellington.co.nz once all pre-requisite modules have been achieved.


SECOND AWARD: NETBALL NEW ZEALAND PERFORMANCE COACH AWARD
 

Apply and pay $150 for your Performance Coach Award to NNZ directly
Attainable in 3-5 years

After applying, making payment and receiving acceptance, Coaches have a 3-5 year period in which to complete this award.  The award requires coaches to complete the following: 
1.  Currently coaching - 2 years minimum
2.  Source your own mentor (assistance to find one can be provided by your CoachForce Officer)
2.  Receive group mentoring by CoachForce or NNZ approved personnel
3.  Gain access code for Silicon Coach for CDP and on-going development activities 
4.  Coach Development plan - completed online
5.  Ongoing development activities from Community Coach Award - completed online
6.  Complete 3 Developing Modules - Game Analysis, Fit for the Season & Mental Skills II
7.  Complete 5 Advanced Modules
8.  Complete coaching logbook

Coach Development Plan
Coaches work through this plan with the support of the local CoachForce Officer.  It consists of a series of questions designed to encourage the Coach to self reflect on their capability and/or confidence in a range of coaching aspects. Following completion of the plan, the coach and NNZ CoachForce /support person identify development priorities. This process will be repeated over the next 2 years to assess progress and development needs.
