 WALKING FOOTBALL 2015

Walking Football, a slow-paced version of the beautiful game aimed at the over 50s, has arrived in Sydney!!

Walking Football was initially designed to help get the over 50s back into football and exercise. The main differences between standard football and walking football are the two rules of no running and no slide tackles.

Play the game you love but reduce the chances of injury. It's a great way to keep fit, learn skills, have fun and socialise all at the same time!

If you think your footballing days are over then think again!

So, if you used to play football but now find the pace a bit too much or if you’ve never had the chance to be involved before, walking football is the perfect introduction to playing football for people aged 50 years and over, no age limit!

All the rules are the same but with one big difference, you can only walk – no running, no sprinting, just walking. Any infractions are penalised by free kicks

Running shoes or “turf boots” only allowed. NO STUDS!

Games are played on our all weather Futsal Courts with a standard Futsal ball.

Referees will be provided.

Simply playing 1 hour a week for 3 months enables players to cover 50Km’s and burn 4,200 calories!
