Officials

Matches are officiated by two Futsal referees and one scorer (who is also a referee). All referees have successfully completed the Futsal Laws of the Game certificate as provided by Football Federation Victoria and are registered FFV Futsal match officials.

Players, parents and spectators are reminded to support our match officials and treat them with respect.

Player safety

The first consideration by MFR committee, referees and officials is player safety and well being. Player safety is protected by:

  • rules against dangerous play
  • a code of conduct that encourages sportsmanship and discourages aggression
  • compulsory use of shin-pads and pocket less shorts
  • use of incident forms so that the committee can learn from accidents or injuries
  • In the unlikely event of serious injury FFV insurance covers most incident (claim info)
