Imperials - fees, other costs & what to expect as a parent and player

We aim to explain what to expect and what it costs here.

Please take your time to read all the attachments, they're there to help and inform.

Our Imperials player registrations fees have increased for 2017/18.

We have always sought to keep our fees at a minimum and have worked hard to offer the best experience we could whilst tightly managing our expenses. We have a growing number of teams and have tried to find the balance to be fair to all those that contribute to the success of the Imperials programme. Developing our coaches via training and other accrediation, and covering their out-of-pocket expenses is important and we believe our players will be the first to experience the benefit.

The player registration fees for 2017/18 have been set at $550

A deposit payment of $100 is due by Wednesday 1st November 2017.

The balance can be paid via up to two further instalments all due by 22nd January 2018.

Payment final fee installment/s here

If any of your fees are still outstanding after 22nd January, a late payment fee of $50 will then apply.

A fundraising levy of $75 per player will be available for those that wish to opt out of fundraising then this payment can be made and you won’t turn another sausage for 12 months. But you’ll miss out on what can be another fun opportunity to spend time with your child, your call.

All payments for the 2017/18 season must be paid via your child's individual SportsTG registration for the Imperials season. This registration link will be sent out to the player's contact email/s once team selections are completed.

Other weekly and tournament costs should be expected and they are explained in our "what costs to expect" document below.

To help explain what your registration fees go towards we thought you’d like to see a break down, with an explanation of the top three costs.

  • Fees go towards the cost of weekly training court hire. All courts are hired from third party providers (venues) at their commercial rate.
  • Then we have sought to cover our coaches’ out-of-pocket expenses.
  • VJBL apply a fee for each team registered in the MU VJBL competition.

All teams should except to attend the Geelong Tournament on the 4th & 5th November and also the Eltham Dandenong over the Australia Day long weekend.
