Event Information
Twenty Four Second Rule (Shot Clock)
The team in control of the ball on the court must shoot for a basket within 24 seconds.
The 24 second clock starts when a team gains control of the ball on the court (back or front court) and stops when team control ends (except on a shot for goal). The 24 second clock is reset when the ball hits the ring, a basket is scored or a team commits a foul or the other team gains control of the ball.
When the ball hits the ring on a shot the 24 second clock is held then reset to 24 seconds when a player of either team gains control of the ball.
