Our New Cherub Australian Champions

"Son of Wally" are the 2016 Australian Cherub Champions!

Congratulations to Kris F & Dylan N on a fantastic series sailed up at RQYS in Qld.

Brothers Brett L & Ryan L sailed "Causing Haavik" into 3rd place with two race wins. "Wally" finished in 4th, with skipper Jarrod T managing with substitue crews Chris A and Nigel B after Morgan F dislocated his shoulder in the wild & windy first race. "Wally" also won the Junior Division.

"Hooters" sailed by Morgan Y & Nick H also took a race win to finish the series in 7th, just ahead of brothers Andrew S & Dave S on "New Order" in 8th, who also took out the Senior Crown.

Beynon T & Matt H onboard "French Tickler" in 10th place rounded out six B16ftSC boats in the Top 10 - showing the great strength of our fleet!

"Rack Em' Up", sailed by Ryan C & Tom D were only one point behind "French Tickler" to finish in 11th overall.

Stuart K & Samantha N ended the series in 17th aboard "Ricochet" with "Camel Toe" sailed by brother Aaron K & Ashley K in 21st.  Samantha was also awarded the First Female Crew, adding to our Club's trophy haul!

Young Bailey H, with crew Alan N, sailed "Hooray" to 34th place and took home the Australian Cadet crown. Well done Bailey in some really tough conditions.

Congratulations to all of our Cherub sailors on a fantastic nationals representation!
