The 2013 Budweiser Baseball League season has been pushed back to allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to renovate at the Paseo Stadium in Hagåtña.

The BBL was expected to open at 7 tonight, but it is now anticipated to start later this month or in the beginning of March, according to Guam Major League president Bob Steffy.

"The renovations to the field are much needed improvements that would only benefit the players," Parks and Recreation administrator Joe Mendiola said.

"The field has not seen any maintenance improvements for over seven years.
