GSC Hosts Formula 15ft Skiff Nationals

From Saturday 23rd to Monday 25th January, Gosford Sailing Club hosted the 2016 Formula 15ft Skiff Nationals. Overall, seven boats participated with three coming from Victoria, three from Ballina, and one from Gosford. The first day of racing was very challenging as high winds caused many breakages and only two out of three races were held. On Sunday the wind lightened allowing five races to be held and all boats enjoyed the ranging conditions. The last day of the regatta was unfortunately abandoned due to a lack of wind however the regatta was completed with a total of seven out of ten races held. Baz Bradford and Daniel Bradford sailing Secret from Ballina took out first place. In second place was skipper and boat builder Jim Scott from Victoria with Gosford Sailing Club crew Riley Pike sailing Allen, while Kieran Humphries and Lindsay Pike from Gosford Sailing Club sailing Magic Formula landed third place.

Well done to all competitors, we hope you will visit Gosford Sailing Club again!
