BOMI 12th Ralik Ratak Shootout schedule announced

The Marshall Islands Basketball Federation is pleased to announce the schedule for the BOMI 12th Ralik Ratak Shootout Invitational Basketball Tournament to be held in Majuro. Ten men's teams and six women's teams will compete for cash prizes, trophies and bragging rights.

The tournament is scheduled to start on Friday November 30 and run through Wednesday December 19, 2012. The dates are contingent on the weather as all games will be played at the outdoor CMI court. This is because the ECC gym remains closed 17 months after a portion of the roof collapsed. Although the Japanese government recently offered to fund renovation of the ECC if the RMI government requests it as a priority infrastructure project, there has been no official response from the RMI government to take up this offer.

The teams that will compete for $3,700 in prizes are:

Men's Pool A                 Men's Pool B                  Women's Pool

Lae A1                        Mejit B1                         Mejit W1
