BOMI Ralik Ratak Shootout third day results

In Thursday night, 12/6/12, BOMI 12th Ralik Ratak Shootout Basketball Tournament action, Arno upset Constitution Day tournament winner Mejit in women's play, while Likiep beat Jaluit and Namu came from behind to nip Rongelap in the final seconds. 

In a low-scoring game, Arno took a first half lead over Mejit and never looked back, winning 27-24. Arno's Neri Wase led the way, scoring 10 of her team's points, while Maya Sam added 6. For Mejit, Nani Jukwe and Malia Nii both scored six points.

In men's action, Likiep rebounded from its tournament opening day loss to Lae by defeating Jaluit 59-46. High scorer for Jaluit was Victor Navarro with 12, followed by Don Jokna who scored 9 and Jomi Lawin who scored 7. Kurtang Uwaine led Jaluit with 10 points.

Rongelap, playing its first game of the tournament, led nearly the entire game against Namu, but couldn't hold on, losing in a nail bitter 42-41. Namu's Erick Kumtak scored the winning basket with less than a minute to go.

Namu's Aichy Abner led his team with 11, and Erick Kumtak and Baybat Lattrik each added seven points. Rongelap's Dar Laban scored 12.
