The Bulldogs Harold Matthews Cup (Under 16) and SG Ball Cup (Under 18) squads both had solid wins Round 3 of the Junior Representative competitions.

Harold Matthews: Bulldogs 26 SWSAS 18

The Bulldogs Harold Matthews Cup side travelled to a wet and windy St Marys Sporting complex to take on the SWSAS Academy side and prevailed 26-18, after leading 16-6 at half time.

For coach Wayne Barnett, the win was his sides third and has his side sitting equal first on the competition ladder but knows there is much improvement in his side.

Best for the Bulldogs Harold Matts team were captain Jayden Okunbor, Thomas Harvey and Alvin Maungatti.

SG Ball: Bulldogs 46 West Coast 12

The Bulldogs SG Ball side travelled west to Perth to take on the West Coast Pirates and came away with an emphatic 46-12 win.

The win was a definite step in the right direction for the boys after the poor performance the week before and leaves Brad Henderson’s side with two wins and in the top eight.

Best for the Bulldogs SG Ball side were Hakaraia Toi Toi, Avia Minute and Tuuta Langi.
