Child Protection - Sports House on Olympic Park 27th March
Sport and Recreation is committed to ensuring that the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children is maintained at all times. Our aim is to promote a safe environment for all children to participate in sporting and/or recreational activities. Our child protection information seminars will help sport and recreation organisations understand risk management and the importance of establishing sound policies and procedures for people working with children. As an administrator, coach or volunteer involved in sport and recreation, our seminars will also assist you to understand your responsibilities under the Child Protection and the Commission for Children and Young People Act 1998.

MPIO - The Brewery, Rouse Hill on 19th March 2013
A Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) is responsible for providing information about a person's rights, responsibilities and options to an individual making a complaint or raising a concern in sport. They can also provide information and advice to sport administrators and complaint handlers with regard to the Member Protection Policy of that sport. MPIO's are generally impartial; they don't mediate or investigate complaints. They may reside in a club, the state association or a national sports organisation. They can also be freelance (not linked directly to sport).

Sports Taping - Nepean Soccer Association, Penrith on 13th March and Advanced 20th March
Sports taping is an important skill for coaches, trainers, administrators, teachers, parents and players involved in sport.
