Welcome to Lacrosse SA

Lacrosse SA is the peak body for lacrosse in South Australia, managing competitions for Women and Men, and Girls and Boys from age 8.

The main field lacrosse season runs from April to September, but there are other competitions as well - Indoor Contact, Indoor "Sof-crosse", pre-season competitions and University and High School competitions.

How to get your Police Check

As a volunteer at your club, you will require a South Australian Police Check. If you do not currently have a police check - please click on 'more' for instructions on how to obtain one.


U13 Girls Umpires Accreditation

All umpires that are currently umpiring at club level should be accredited. If you wish to gain your accreditation and be paid for your umpiring efforts then your exam must be done ASAP (NOW) and be given to either Lacrosse SA or sent to Tammy Varga for marking.more

Compulsory Eyewear for Junior Girls

Lacrosse SA advocates player safety and has decided to make the wearing of protective eye wear compulsory from Under 13’s through to Under 18’s. Junior players 18 and under participating in senior grades are required to wear protective eye wear in the senior grade in which they are playing.

Put your hands up for a $50 Sports Voucher!

All kids love playing outdoors and enjoying sport with family and friends. That’s why the State Government is making junior sport more affordable. From term one 2015, families will receive $50 for each primary school aged child to help with the cost of sports club fees. For more information and for clubs to register visit:

Play by the Rules Update

A new free Play by the Rules online training course is now available.


The course features two modules - 'Child Protection' and 'Harassment and Discrimination' - which replace all of the previous online training courses. The course is succinct, user-friendly and features the latest interactive technology, including case studies, practical scenarios and a quiz. It is suitable for coaches, administrators, officials, players, parents and spectators.


Women's Rule Book update

ALA wishes to inform Member Associations, Umpires, TD's and players that the revised 2011-2014 Women's Rule Book has been edited and is now available on the FIL website at

All of the clarifications and changes to Rule 3 & 25, Manufacturers Specifications are in blue. The Table of Contents has also changed some due to lengthy editing.

These changes take effect immediately.

Please Note: The Debeer "Gripper Pocket" will be legal for FIL play until January 1, 2013.
