Seals win Silver at NWPL Finals

After getting first on the scoreboard early in the 1st period, the Victorian Seals had victory snatched from their grasp when UWA Torpedoes finally grabbed the lead with 27 secs left in the last

But in a thriller that had the large crowd jumping and screaming, the Seals tied the game at 8-8 just 2 secs before the final whistle

With both teams having survived penalty shootouts to get past their opening Elimination games, they lined up again to decide who would be crowned the 2016 National League Champions

UWA rammed in their first before the crowd GROANED when the Seals shot rebounded off the post - from then it was goal-for-goal with UWA finally sealing the win 13-11

Not quite the fairy tail ending Seals fans were hoping for - but congratulations to the boys on a fantastic finals series

For UWA Torpedoes it was their maiden National League Championship

The Victorian Seals Women made it their best finish in 3 years when they defeated UWA Torpedoes 17-8 to finish in 5th spot - great effort by our girls

Sydney Uni Lions took the Womens title, an historic first time win for them also
