Day 2 Wrap Up

Another scorcher out at Parramatta today for the U18 Men's State Championships. We had plenty of action with some critical games determining semi-final positions and final placings after the rounds.

UNSW Wests Black knocked off 3rd placed Hunter Hurricanes, 12 - 9, resulting in an equal first place finish between Sydney Uni Blue and UNSW Wests Black. To determine first we measured both teams results against 3rd place Hunter, resulting in both teams winning by 3 goals. On the technicality, UNSW Wests Black moved to first position as they scored more goals against 3rd placed Hunter than Sydney Uni Blue did.

The other upset of the day was Cronulla toppling the young Drummoyne team who ran out of gas, losing 8 – 4. This cemented Cronulla in 4th position with a semi-final opportunity.
