Green Held in High Esteem

ANDREW Green has won this year's South Campbelltown Kangaroos Junior Australian Football Club's Club Person of the Year Award.

Green, who came from a non-Australian football background, became involved with the club three years ago when his son Ethan started in the Auskick program.

Kangaroos vice-president Auskick co-ordinator and former Sydney Swans player Chris O'Dwyer said Green helped conduct the Auskick program in his first year with the club.

He became an under-10 coach, media and publicity manager.

Green operates his own company, Brilliant Images and Graphics, so he provides professional services to the club and manages a Facebook site, constructs team photos which are accompanied by an individual footy card of each child, is creating a phone application for better access to club details and manages the club website.

"The club is not just about one person, it is about our fantastic team," Green said.

"The success and momentum we have generated in doubling the club's numbers from our four to 12-year-old age groups is because of a designated group of committed parents who all strive to create our club objective which is simple — to provide the most enjoyable possible sporting experiencing and environment for the children and their parents."
