A reminder to parents , friends and all supporters there is to be no one entering the field at any breaks during the finals.

Support your boys with passion but remember the league code of conduct for spectators. A ZERO tolerance policy will be in place in the finals and spectators breaching the code will be removed from the ground IMMIDIATELY.

ZERO TOLERANCE also applies to umpire abuse please don't ruin the experience for the boys as this is about them not adults.

Have a great day at the footy and enjoy.

The Metro South Junior Football Carnival for the Under 8s, 9s and 10s will be held on Sunday 17th August at Mortlock Park, Colonel Light Gardens. All families and friends are encouraged to come down and be part of this great event, which marks the end of a great season of junior football for our younger age groups.

This year the League’s chosen charity is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF volunteers will be at the ground and will be able to supply you with a copy of the Carnival program for a gold coin donation. They will also be collecting donations through the day, and selling jelly babies and other merchandise. Your support for this charity on the day is appreciated.

Another theme running through the day will be fair play, and we will be looking for the club, players and supporters which best demonstrate good sportsmanship. So support your team loudly, applaud good play from all teams, and respect the officials. Above all, enjoy the day.

On Sunday July 27 Mitcham Football Club Juniors held a charity day for "Kick Start For Kids". This charity provides breakfasts to thousands of kids on a daily basis in conjunction with schools. It is shocking to learn how many children go to school each day without having breakfast.

For more information or to make a donation please go to the website http://kickstartforkids.com.au/

There has been some confusion from players regarding kicking the football into play after a behind has been scored, the player must wait until the Goal Umpire has finished waving the flags before kicking the ball into play

MSJFL Rules  can be found here

Notice to all players

It's fine to play as hard as you can and as well as you possibly can for your club, but just over the last few weeks, as I watch the many games I watch every Sunday, I have noticed some very aggressive behaviour that I am not happy about.

Remember play hard, but play the ball.

But most of all enjoy your footy.

David Evans
President
