First Aid Course

Unfortunately we did not had enough people interested in doing the First Aid course to run it at the SFC. Fencing Victoria is however, willing to contribute to members doing a Level 2 First Aid Course at a place of their choosing, if they complete it before AFC#3, and are available to do First Aid at AFC#3. Australian Fencing Circuit Tournament #3 2015 incorporating the Australian Under 23 Sabre Championships will be held in Melbourne from the 28th – 30th August 2015.more

2015 Schools League Championships - August 2nd

The championship round of the Schools League tournaments will be held at the State Fencing Centre on the 2nd of August. There will be a canteen selling drinks and snacks at the venue.more

Leon Paul FIE Epee blades - SR-71 model BANNED

Further communication from SEMI (3 July 2015) has clarified the ban on certain Leon Paul epee blades. This affects FV events as well as National and International competitions.more

FIE Rule Interpretation

FV have had inquiries about the penalties to be applied to rule t63.3 and the scope of brutality in Epee. The rule itself is open to interpretation so FV have asked for David Mok's, Stephen Darragh's, and David Baker's(all are FIE referees)opinion on it. The attachment is a summary of their opinion on the penalties to be applied for t63.3 & also a summary on the current standing of Corps a corps.more
