JENNIFER KANIS MP, State Member for Melbourne has provided information on two grants that clubs can apply for.
The first is the Active Club Grantsprogram opened by VicHealth on 31 October 2012. Grants of up to $2,500 are available for sport and active recreation clubs in order to purchase sports safety and management equipment, sun shades, other essential equipment, or to provide volunteer and club training.

Applications for the grants can be made online through VicHealth's website www.vichealth.vic.gov.au/activeclub . The closing date for applications is 4.00pm Thursday 6 December 2012.
In addition to the above program, the Department of Planning & Community Development have announced the Sporting Uniform Grants for 2012 -2013. Grants of up to $1,000 are being provided to assist sporting and active recreational clubs in the purchase of sports uniforms.
