Under 13 Girls and Boys Away to Nationals

Basketball Hawkes Bay boys and girls teams played at the National Finals in Dunedin from 9 to 12 October.
The HB Under 13 Girls finished 5th and the U13 Boys 6th.
Latrell Ah-Kiong and Rosalia Samia were selected in their respective Tournament teams.
Congratulations to players and team management on great results.

2013 Hawkes Bay Age Group Award Winners Announced

The 2013 Basketball Hawkes Bay age group basketball player and referee awards ceremony was hosted at Basketball Hawkes Bay’s new Head Quarters at Whitmore Park on Saturday 21 September.

Under 23 Men at National Finals

Hawkes Bay under 23 men's team including HBS Bank Hawks players Alonzo Burton , Jacob Walsh, Matt Wilson and Ezra Nikora competed at the NZ U23 National Championships in Tauranga finishing a disappointing 12th

Under 15 and 19 teams at Nationals

The Hawkes Bay Under 15 Boys and Girls teams attended the National Final tournament in Wellington and the Under 19 Men in Nelson from Tuesday 23 to Saturday 27 July.
The Under 15 and 19 Men's teams finished 6th at the National Finals.
Midge Forshaw (U15 B ) and Geoff Heather (U19)made their respective tournament teams. The U15 Girls finished 14th.

Under 17 teams at Nationals

The Hawkes Bay Under 17 Boys and Girls teams are competing at the National Finals in North Harbour from Wednesday 17 to Saturday 20th July.
The girls finished a creditable 6th in Div 1 after losing to Otago A 60 Hawke’s Bay 54,and Boys won the bronze medal in Div 2 besting Auckland-Counties 82 to 48

HAWKES BAY BASKETBALL AGE GROUP TEAMS ANNOUNCED

Clifton Bush the Regional Development Coach for Basketball Hawkes Bay announced the following teams to represent Hawkes Bay at the National Basketball Finals in July.
Bush reported that the boys’ finished 1st and the girls 2nd at the Central Region seeding tournament and all are expected to be very competitive at the National finals.
