McDonalds SuperHoops Schools Program

The Geelong Supercats and Basketball Geelong in conjunction with McDonalds are offering locals chools FREE basketball clinics!

These clinics are available for Prep right through to Year 8.

Program Overview

Excite program at The Arena

Geelong Supercat Players and Program Coaches conduct a one day “in house” excite program from 10am – 1pm at the Geelong Arena. Programs conducted a the Arena provide children with a unique Supercat experience, where they visit Supercat locker rooms, gym and on the court. We also conduct the excite program at either of our other two venues Leisuretime Centre or Try Boys Sports Stadium. If either of these venues are within walking distance to your school and more suitable we can conduct the program here.

In school visitation program

Senior Geelong Supercat Players and Representative Coaches participate in class room activities and conduct basketball clinics at your school. This program is usually delivered on a class by class basis, we recommend that each basketball session be between 30 – 45 mins in length. Classroom visits can be in a q&a format, or a discussion topic specific to your curriculum. However, the program can be modified to meet the needs of your individual school.

Supercats School League

Ultimately we want to see your students participating in basketball. We have established an entry level competition suitable for students of all levels. It’s easy to be involved, we supply your school with singlets, provide training for teachers and/or parents in basic basketball coaching and scoring. The games are modified to ensure each child can have a go and enjoy the game. Games are conducted after school at the Geelong Arena during the school term.
