School Information Packs coming to a school near you!
The annual primary school mailout is currently underway with Basketball Victoria's Hoop Time staff madly printing and filling envelopes to start posting out from Tuesday 12th February.
With approximately 1,500 schools on their mailing list it is a large job for the team, but we are hopeful that all info packs will be sent and recieved by the end of February to give all schools optimum chance to get their entries in as early as possible!
We recommend that even if you do not plan on entering Hoop Time days until August or September that you get your entries in early to avoid dissapointment. Especially at venues such as Kilsyth, Nunawading, Maroondah & Knox which all seem to fill up very quickly.
We also recommend for these venues and any other venues that schools consider attending Term 2 days in June & July as these days in the past are usually slightly smaller compared to days in August/September and will be able to fit in more teams than if you possibly entered into a later date. If you leave entering too late, then you miss out on the opportunity to enter into these earlier days and will likely have to either move to another venue if your requested date/s are full or reduce the number of teams you have participating which means kids miss out on experiencing Hoop Time.
With a special offer on board this year... The first 5 schools that send in their Hoop Time entry for 2013 will recieve 2 'special edition' McDonald's Hoop Time GF6 gameballs to be given away as prizes or to be used by the school. The school that gets in 1st will recieve 4 gameballs to be used.
So get those entries in once you get the information packs. Please note information packs will be addressed to the Principal.
