A.I.S. Invitation to Riley

Kilsyth referee Riley Brown has recently returned from a January Development Camp at the A.I.S. in Canberra.

Promising referees were selected from around the country to attend a week of intense training and lectures at the AIS with experienced officials passing on their knowledge and experience to help develop the next group of referees in preparation for them to step up to the National Referees Panel, where referees are selected to officiate the senior Elite competitions such as the Big V, SEABL, WNBL and NBL.

"It was fantastic to attend the AIS" said Riley, "but no time for sight seeing" as the referee coaches had the promising referees training and studying for long hours throughout the day.

Riley's invitation to the AIS is a great reflection on her committment to officiating and a perfect example to many Kilsyth referees showing where refereeing can take them.
