RULES

1.The rules for Primary Competition are basically the same as Saturdays with a few changes:

2. Foul shots are taken from the inside line (blue) on EH courts.

3.Clock stops in the last 3 minutes of the second half for fouls, jump balls, time outs and substitutions. The clock DOES NOT STOP if there is more than a 10 point difference between teams.

4.Once a team has established a 10 point lead, no player may play defence on the opposition until they have advanced PAST the centre line. (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO FINALS).

5.If the lead gets to 20 points, no defensive player may play defence until the opposition advances past the 3 point line. (Man-to-man only) (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO FINALS).

6.There is to be no zone defence, including finals.

7.ONE time-out per team per half - 15 minute halves.

8.Two penalty points are taken off for incorrect uniform (except in grading games).

9.Shorts with pockets are not allowed (to reduce risk of injury).

10.One penalty point is taken off per minute for late start. Walkovers occur only if there are less than three players for the team by half time.

Parents must ensure there is PARENTAL SUPERVISION at trainings run by junior coaches. The Club accepts no responsibility for such trainings.

We are especially concerned that balls are not bounced around the court during games because of the risk of stray balls coming onto the court. Also people should not gather at the ends of the courts as they could obstruct the referees.

PARENTS, PLEASE ENSURE THAT OTHER CHILDREN ARE PROPERLY SUPERVISED DURING GAMES.

Parents, please help your coach and team by learning to score. The club does not provide scorers but will help to teach you if necessary. A SCORER FROM BOTH TEAMS IS EXPECTED. Please ensure that each player's full name and number are CLEARLY written on the score sheet before half time. The team's money must also be ready for collection by half time.
