Team Lists

We have provided the team listings below. Please be aware that we still have practice games where there will be a possibility of moving players if there is a better fit for them in a different team. While we endeavour to get it right during the tryouts, during practice games we can see how all of our selected players perform in realistic game settings and give everyone the opportunity to find their most suited team for the upcoming season. 

There are a lot of factors that go into selecting our teams. Having the right team balance is a significant factor in selecting the right combinations of players. A team of 10 players in an ideal situation usually has 2 point guards, 2 shooting guards, 2 forwards, 2-4 inside players so if you are a point guard, you may be competing against 6 others for 2 spots. We also look at the balance of top age and bottom age players in the age group to ensure we have strong age groups each year.

The try outs process is never an easy one for players, parents or coaches but we feel that we have been extremely diligent with our processes throughout.

Rankings

We have great strength in all of our age groups and our VJBL rankings reflect that strength. This means that while you may be in a 3rd side, this side may be ranked in Metro 1 which competes against many other clubs 1st sides. We have outlined each team’s rankings to give you an idea of where you will start the grading season. It is our aim to improve all of our rankings and play in as high a division as possible.
