2017-18 Junior Rep Selection Trials

Trial dates for the U12 and U14 rep trials have now been updated, see below.

Players whose last representative game was with an association other than Northside Wizards must supply a signed, approved transfer form from their previous association at least seven days prior to the first published trial date for their age group. 'Permission to Trial' forms will not be sufficient to qualify for selection to a Northside Wizards team.

Players who have outstanding rep or club fees will NOT be eligible to trial for the 2017-18 season.  If extenuating circumstances exist please email administrator@northsidewizards.com  for advice.

Players are required to meet Northside Wizards eligibility requirements as outlined in the NWB Junior Representative Program Policy - copy available on request. Exemptions may apply in extenuating circumstances.

Special requirement for the 2017-18 season: As the BQJBC season for Under 12 & Under 14 players does not commence until January 2018, all players in these age groups are also required to register and play in the Northside Wizards junior summer competition during Term 4 2017.

Players interested in trialling should register and pay online for rep trials here by the extended closing date Friday 1st September 2017 to allow sufficient time to confirm player eligibility prior to attending the trials. A $30 trial fee will be payable at the time of registration.

Representative fees for the 2017-18 season will be different for most age groups due to changes in the calendar.  BQJBC costs are being calculated & will be advised as soon as possible.  State Championships travel and accommodation costs will be calculated and advised separately.

Age groups for the 2017-18 Rep season are:

U12 boys and girls	2007, 2008, 2009
U14 boys and girls	2005, 2006
U16 boys and girls	2003, 2004
U18 men and women	2001, 2002
U21 men and women	1998, 1999, 2000

Player eligibility requirements are detailed below.  Trial details:

• $30 trial fee (GST and online fee incl) which covers both trials
• Online registration only

Trial dates, times and venues:

U12 girls
Saturday 16th September from 9.00am till 11.00am AND Saturday 30th September from 9.00am till 10.30am. Both trials will be held at the South Pine Sports Complex at Brendale

U12 boys
Thursday 7th September from 5.30pm to 7.00pm at the Sports Centre, Brisbane Entertainment Centre at Boondall and Saturday 9th September from 9.00am to 10.30am at the South Pine Sports Complex at Brendale

U14 girls
Saturday 9th September and Saturday 30th September 2017. Both trials will be held at the  South Pine Sports Complex, Brendale from 1pm until 2.30pm

U14 boys
Saturday 9th September and Saturday 30th September 2017.  Both trials will be held at the  South Pine Sports Complex, Brendale from 11am until 12.30pm

Players are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time.  What to bring: 

• Basketball (please ensure your name is on your ball)
• Water bottle and recovery food
• Reversible singlet (light and dark)
• Copy of birth certificate (unless previously supplied to Wizards)

Note: - apparel from other associations is NOT to be worn
