  • Read the Competition Rules and play by those Rules. A lack of awareness of the Rules is not accepted by your Club or TBA as a justification of a breach of the Rules. Constructive feedback regarding the Rules can be submitted to your Club Management Committee, which may refer your feedback to TBA if warranted.
  • Show appreciation for, and cooperate with, volunteer coaches, officials and administrators. Without them, you could not participate.
  • Never argue with an official. If you disagree, have your captain, coach or manager approach the official during a break or after the competition. Any approach must always be conducted in a reasonable manner.
  • Control your temper on and off the court. Verbal abuse of officials or volunteers, and sledging other players, deliberately distracting/provoking an opponent, or the use of bad language are not acceptable or permitted behaviours in any competition or event sanctioned by Toowoomba Basketball Association. Do not act in a matter that is offensive to others, this includes the use of bad language.
  • Work equally hard for yourself and/or your team. Your team’s performance will benefit so will you.
  • Be a good sport. Applaud good plays whether they are made by your team or the opposition.
  • Treat all participants in your sportas you like to be treated. Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another competitor.
  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
