Active After-School Communities Program

The Toowoomba Basketball Association in conjunction with the Australian Sports Commission's Active After-School communities program conducts after-school basketball programs at school's in the region, as part of providing basketball participation programs to children.

The program is open to all Australian primary schools and Childcare Benefit-approved Out of School Hours Care Services (OSHCS).

Approved long day care and family day care services may also apply, subject to meeting the following requirements:

  • the children participating in the program are primary school-aged children only;
  • the program delivered is offered in the after-school timeslot (3.00pm to 5.30pm);
  • the site has access to suitable facilities to conduct the proposed program.

TBA coaches who would like to be involved as a coaching provider must undertake the Community Coach Training Program, and by completing the Application for probationary registration - Deliverers nominated by Organisation" form and returning it to TBA (PO Box 388, Toowoomba QLD 4350).
